La Maison Cattin, located for 300 years in a small Alsatian village called Voegtlinshoffen, offers an intriging culinary and gastronomic experience.

The new cellar "The Belvedere of the Alsatian Vineyard" will delight lovers of Alsace wines and crémant (the official title for sparkling wines made outside of Champagne). In a semi-underground cellar of 2,700 m², visitors are invited to live a new experience with old roots, combining lifestyle, culture, history and gastronomy in the Maison Cattin.

Established in 1720, the property covers 70 hectares of vineyards, and is today one of the largest Alsatian houses operating its own vineyard.

A panoramic view of the vineyard

Recently, the Maison Cattin unveiled its expertise through a unique visit of its cellars during which visitors can watch the casks in use behind large windows, stroll through the showroom, and enjoy the tasting area.

Entirely glazed and located on the green roof of the winery, the tasting area offers a panoramic view of the vineyards and the village of Voegtlinshoffen as well as fortified castles, the Vosges, and the Black Forest. This stunning landscape is the setting of the wine tasting, accompanied by local products.

The Maison Cattin also offers various guided tours of the cellars and vineyards to visitors who are passionate about wine and the vine.

The first, "classic,” is focused in the secrets of the elaboration of Alsatian wines through a guided tour of 45 minutes, explaining all stages of winemaking. This visit, in French, English, German or Chinese, ends with a tasting.

On foot, bike, or segway

Though the historic vineyard, the visit can be taken by segway to discover the layout and different grape varieties. The experience ends with a visit to the cellars and a tasting of Alsace wines.

The vineyard can also be discovered by foot or by bike following a custom-designed itinerary through vineyards and neighboring villages.
