This iconic Caribbean hotel, which is more and more intimate, is starting a new life after its recent transformation, drawing more inspiration from the deep bruises of the lagoon than ever.
9 AM: Here comes the Great Blue!
Difficult to resist such an intense view—the day begins with a dip in the pool overlooking the lagoon, whose turquoise waters echo the blue sky, tickled by the famous trade winds. On the horizon, where the waves dance on the coral barrier, inviting divers to strap on the flippers to explore the protected marine reserve.
10 AM: The bay like a painting
The 39 suites were redesigned in the same modern blueprint as before—as soon as you enter the “Grand Suite Plage,” you are embraced by the dazzling panorama like a living painting.
11 AM: A roomy villa just for you
A family trip is made by the little oasis we find for ourselves. A villa of more than 650 m² (6997 ft²) counting the terraces (with heated pools) and the garden perched on the bay of Grand-Cul-de-Sac is just the ticket. Unless you prefer the “Village du Pêcheur” and its two or three communicating suites. Each suite cultivates an intimate universe, whether for a couple or the whole family.
12 AM: Lunch under coconut palms
There is no need to choose between a snack and a nap: at the new beach restaurant, one switches from the table to the lounge chair in less time than it takes to enjoy a salad or a fresh juice! Either way, it's heaven to languish in the shadow of coconut tree.
3 PM: Escape to the spa
As its name suggest, in Sereno, you can find serenity. Tranquility is always the watchword, especially at the spa. In the lovely wooden pavilion facing the bay, one is cradled by the invigorating treatments by Valmont, the brand that draws its know-how from the energy of the glaciers.
7 PM: The Mediterranean in the Tropics
Under the oak roof of the restaurant, one has to decided: soak in the 180° panorama or dine with your feet in the sand? Either way, your taste buds will be thrilled by the cuisine of chef Alex Simone, whose dishes mix French and Italian influences, like his buckwheat flour gnocchi scented with sage.
8 AM: A waking up to a postcard
With such an intense morning view, it's tempting not to leave the cozy comfort of your bed. Opt for room service to enjoy breakfast without second of the view. The palms shudder in the breeze, the birds twitter around their own feast, and you can dream of staying here forever.
9 AM : 85° F in the morning
In Saint Bart's, the sea temperature varies between 26° et 29°C (70° and 85°F). Take advantage of the morning calm to dive into the deliciously warm sea: with 180 m (590 ft) of private beaches, the bay is an ideal swimming pool—and a good prelude to the last hours of the spellbinding blue of the Caribbean Sea.
