In the K2’s 30 rooms, which include four suites, the view forms a key part of the decor. Mountains, valleys, and trees all carpeted with snow… the views are a fine encouragement to curl up in a deliciously soft cocoon of comfort and admire the starry sky. On one side the forest, on the other the slopes. As for the seven chalet suites (each with 5-6 bedrooms and pool, home cinema, and steam room, etc.), they come with expansive terraces which offer the perfect vantage point for the heavens.

It’s this season’s new addition: a dessert restaurant! And there’s plenty pastry for thought, especially when it represents the summit of culinary excellence. With Sébastien Vauxion, a quadruple Michelin-starred pastry chef at the helm, the sweets at the SarKara (Sanskrit for sugar) become fashion items that put on a show of sensations as original as they are delicious. Try them during a reinvigorating break after a hard day on the slopes!

Jade, the precious stone of wisdom, lies at the heart of the flagship treatment at the K2 Palace wellness centre: the Goji Spa Rituel, an antioxidant treatment that uses precious stones to restore the body’s energy and mineral balance. Combine it with a Himalayan infusion to complete the path to inner peace. Suitably revived, how about some down time in the sumptuous circular swimming pool with its unbeatable views of the valley?

Seasonal produce and Alpine inspiration: this is the recipe for cuisine at the Kintessence, a restaurant with two Michelin stars. Elegant and audacious, the menu serves as a showcase for the region right down to the desserts, which are not to be missed if you haven’t already sated your sweet tooth at Sarkara! The understated and inventive decor is the perfect pairing for the food, with pride of place given to the views!

Hide away in the kids’ grotto

Chalets and polar bears, magic grottos and bobsleighs. Here, kids get the full mountain experience with specialist activity leaders who will engage all of their senses. As for teens, they will happily take their time enjoying the après-ski in a space designed especially for them, with a recording studio, sensory dancefloor, video games and simulators.
