A museum that gives you the shivers: the Voodoo Museum
Not far from the quartier Gare (Station Quarter), a water tower dating back to the nineteenth century houses the world's biggest private collection of West-African voodoo objects. I recommend a night-time visit by torchlight: gripping!

You can sample the gingerbread queen's recipes all year round at Rue des Dentelles. In December, you can also find her at the Christmas market in Place Broglie: unmissable.
A bit of stylish shopping at Curieux?
This is a fabulous industrial-style warehouse hidden away at the bottom of a courtyard on the Quai Kellermann. I really enjoy unearthing decorative items, stylish gear and the latest trendy trainers here... Plus, the owner is a darling!
A graphic hotel: the Graffalgar
I may be from Strasbourg, but if I were visiting as a tourist, I would want to stay here at the Graffalgar: every room has been decorated by a different artist. And be sure not to miss brunch in the restaurant.
Out cycling: the Bruche Canal
In Strasbourg, people go out cycling all year round. Thanks to the Vel’Hop stations, it's easy to hire a bike for the day. For some fresh air and a view of the water, go for a ride alongside the famous Bruche Canal, towards the little villages just outside the city.
A community café: Oh my Goodness
Fancy a quick coffee or a bite to eat? Oh my Goodness is a quiet and cosy café, just by the Porte de l'Hôpital tram stop, where you can enjoy healthy lunch options and nice plain cakes.
A gastro-bistro: L'Hédoniste
A truly delicious meal... L'Hédoniste is a gastro-bistro serving uncomplicated, fresh and refined food, just steps away from the Orangerie Park and its mini-zoo.
A refreshing break: Ô fil de l'eau spa
Does the idea of relaxing in peaceful surroundings overlooking the River Ill and the Petite France quarter sound tempting? Then I suggest a visit to the spa at the splendid Hotel Régent. A must-do in the city centre.
An English interlude: Au Fond du Jardin
For a wonderful cup of tea and an array of delicious madeleines, the place to go is the Au Fond du Jardin, with its timeless English decor.
