We follow Rachel Hubert, winemaker at her family estate near Blaye, north of Bordeaux. She comes from a long line of winegrowers established at Château de Peybonhomme-Les-Tours since 1895. She reveals her favorite places and moments in Bordeaux and the surrounding area during our Interview in the middle of the vineyards.

The Huberts have been producing wine for generations since the end of the 19th century, at Château Peybonhomme-les-Tours in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, and at Château La Grolet in the Côtes de Bourg appellation.

Wine produced using biodynamic methods in Blaye

We follow Rachel, daughter of the Hubert family, to the estate located just outside of Blaye on the Gironde estuary, north of Bordeaux. The clay-limestone parcels, which give the wine its character, are set on the hillside, overlooking the Gironde in a beautiful landscape. The estate's wines, white, red and rosé, are all produced biodynamically.

Rachel Hubert's favorite moments are the sunrise and sunset on both sides of the estate, and the moment when she hears the song of the owls at nightfall.

Land of wines…and escapades

A place that is worth exploring? Blaye, A charming little town next to the Peybonhomme estate, from where you can walk along the banks of the little town of Bourg-sur-Gironde. There are troglodyte houses, and the "carrelets" of the Gironde estuary, installations that fishermen use to catch the "chevrettes", small pink shrimps that are served boiled with anise and wild fennel. "A fabulous aperitif served with a glass of white wine ". Precious moments of the Bordeaux art of living delivered by Rachel Hubert__
