While many establishments have reopened in the capital and life is picking up, Galeries Lafayette has decided to put the spotlight on the City of Light this summer. From July 6 to August 31, all the talents of the Fashion, Art, Design and Gastronomy are to be discovered in the stores through multiple experiences. Let's decipher the program.
What would Paris be without its incredible gastronomy, sharp-looking fashionistas, world-class exhibitions and fascinating architecture? After Normandy in 2019 and the south-east in 2020, Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann, Avenue des Champs-Elysées and Beaugrenelle wanted to celebrate the capital's wealth and creators in this long-awaited summer 2021. Zoom in on the various events of this highlight.
Pop-up, embroidery workshops and happy-hour
As soon as you arrive on Boulevard Haussmann, you will discover in the windows the pictures of photographer Thibaut Grevet, made in partnership with the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau. They feature emblematic places and scenes of life typical of the capital and its vibrant energy.
In the shop, there will be many animations. The ready-to-wear brand AMI has imagined an exceptional scenography under the century-old dome. Two pop-ups and several windows will allow visitors to admire their chic, simple and casual wardrobe, from the capsule collection "AMI de cœur".
The Ateliers de Paris will also set up creative animations, while the brand Keur will host embroidery workshops.
On the rooftop side, several events will be organized during the period. The CRU restaurant, located on the 3rd floor of the Homme Galeries Lafayette store, will also inaugurate a new space where to enjoy a happy hour drink in a guinguette spirit, in partnership with "La Cave" (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 6 to 8 pm).
Disneyland Paris and Moulin Rouge: entertainment for young and old alike!
On the sensational side, Disneyland Paris Park will take over Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann by installing its magical and marvelous universe. Visitors will be immersed in this unique atmosphere.
On July 10 and 17, it's the Moulin Rouge, a staple of Parisian parties, that will rock the Glasswalk of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann with a custom-made medley. The opportunity to enjoy a taste of their glamorous and legendary show but also to admire the exceptional costumes made by the Moulin Rouge Art Houses!
Finally, the place will offer its customers prizes for new and unforgettable experiences to be won: a visit to the Eiffel Tower or the Palace of Versailles, a helicopter flight over Paris, a cruise on the Seine... It's up to you to play!"
Gastronomy and a selection of emblematic products
Shopping-wise, a vast selection of "Made in Paris" and "Designed in Paris" products and brands will be highlighted in the various points of sale.
An opportunity to rediscover the French know-how that shapes the Parisian identity and creation, such as Jacquemus, Isabel Marant, Soeur Paris or even Cadet Rousselle for ready-to-wear, VEJA for shoes, A.P.C for leather goods, Diptyque and Aime Skincare for home and beauty, Angelina and "Sous les Fraises" for delicacies. And so many others...
Gastronomy will of course be celebrated. Pierre Hermé, Jean-Paul Hévin, Pierre Marcolini or Dalloyau will offer exclusive creations made for the occasion, with the possibility of tasting in store.
To celebrate the beating heart of Paris, go to Galeries Lafayette throughout the summer !
