The Nice carnival also regularly celebrates anniversaries, making this great popular festival even more sumptuous. In 2019, the 3rd largest carnival in the world has honored the cinema for the 100th anniversary of Studios de la Victorine, a mecca of the Côte d'Azur film industry. Since 1919, the region has produced Marcel Carné, Roger Vadim, François Truffaut, Jean Cocteau, Jacques Demy, Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen and many other talented directors. And in 2023, it was time to celebrate 150 years of the Nice Carnival itself...
