Summer rhymes with festivities. And what better than a music festival to enjoy the beautiful days? Whether you're into classical music, opera, electro or jazz, there's something for everyone. And to give you an idea of what to expect, here is our selection of the musical events of this summer.

Lorient Interceltic Festival

August 12 to 18, 2024

The Lorient Interceltic Festival is 10 days of shows, 4,500 musicians, singers, dancers, visual artists, academics, film makers, 120 shows on stage... But it is also music workshops, conferences, masterclasses to discover Celtic instruments, bagpipe, accordion or Celtic harp competitions, art and costume exhibitions, a craft market... In short, a multitude of animations around the Celtic music.

La Chaise-Dieu Festival

From August 21 to 31, 2024

The festival of La Chaise-Dieu, in Auvergne, blends heritage and sacred music in the haven of peace that is the Abbey of Saint-Robert, at La Chaise-Dieu. Other remarkable heritage sites also host concerts, such as the collegiate church of Saint-Georges in Saint-Paulien, the theater of Puy-en-Velay or the Halle aux grains in Brioude.

We love Green

May 3 to June 2, 2024

Rendez vous at the Bois de Vincennes, in Paris, where We Love Green offers an eclectic program between indie, electro and urban music. This committed festival aims to limit its ecological footprint as much as possible, while offering festival-goers a rich program: concerts, art, idea laboratory, presence of environmental NGOs, etc.

Every summer, the Nuits de Fourvière festival in Lyon offers nearly 130 performances to its 130,000 spectators. Theater, music, dance, opera, circus... The Chorégies d'Orange have been held since 1869, making it the oldest festival in France! Every year, for more than a month, the ancient theater of Orange, in Provence, resounds to the sound of the greatest opera and classical music arias. An event not to be missed!

From July 18 to August 4, 2023

For jazz lovers, this date is to be noted in one's agenda! You can wander through the charming streets of Marciac, in Occitania, looking for artisanal and gustatory surprises and enjoy the rich and eclectic musical program of the festival.

Festival of Aix-en-Provence

The Aix-en-Provence Festival is one of the largest opera and classical music festivals in Europe. The performances take place in sites such as the Archbishop's Theatre, the Grand Théâtre de Provence, the Jeu de Paume Theatre and the Maynier d'Oppède Hotel.
