The classic english tradition of teatime has found its way over the canal and gained ground in the capital's luxury hotels, which now invites guests for tea and delicious pastries.

Tradition with a twist

The bar Les Heures in the Hotel Prince de Galles offers a variety of cold drinks based on tea and infusions. Tea is the main ingredient in a number of original and refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails, and both traditional english scones and cucumber sandwiches has undergone a little make-over. Tea or champagne?

The elegant restaurant at the hotel Le Meurice transforms into a tearoom for the afternoon. The restaurant Le Dali led by the French chef Alain Ducasse, upholds tradition and offers a selection of scones and finger sandwiches which can be enjoyed with a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or why not a glass of champagne? Tea time at the Palace

Le Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome offers a tasty break in the restaurant La Cheminée. This elegant snack, which has been named Paren(the)se, consists of well-known classics from the childhood; fruit pies, french toast, the house's own nut spread and a number of salty delicacies. Luxury, relaxation and enjoyment

In the deep armchairs in the bar Le Baudelaire at Hôtel le Burgundy they cherish the tea-ritual and traditions and offer you a large selection of teas. A charitable pause intended as “an invitation to travel” - to use the title of one of Baudelaire's famous poems. Tea and Bubbles

The hotel Les Bulles de Paris mixes various teas from La Maison des Trois Thés with pearly drops of the house's own champagne and offers a sprawling teatime. Hôtel Les Bulles de Paris 32, rue des Écoles - 75005 Paris Reservation : + 33 (0)1 46 34 12 90 - info@lesbullesdeparis.com
