The leaves of the trees reflect hues of amber, the days are slowly starting to shorten... that can only mean one thing: autumn prepares for its big come back in the capital – with a celebration of art and design. There’s a fabulous programme for the fall season in Paris including: Paris Design Week, FIAC and Nuit Blanche. Mark your diaries!

Art Élysées - Art & Design

FIAC heralds a plethora of events dedicated to contemporary art including Art Élysées - Art & Design which takes place from 18 to 22 October on the famed avenue of the Champs-Élysées. Discover three temporary pavilions and a hundred or so galleries displaying works of modern and contemporary art, as well as designer furniture. In recent years, the event has also been active in promoting urban culture with 8th Avenue, a section devoted to contemporary urban art.

International Fair of Contemporary Art (FIAC)

Just how relevant is this event that transforms Paris every year into the capital of contemporary creation? Very. On the occasion of its 45th edition, the International Contemporary Art Fair (better known by the abbreviation FIAC), brings together under the dome of the Grand Palais, some 200 galleries from around the world. And the party doesn’t end there as this grand event spills out into the Petit Palais, the Tuileries Garden, Place Vendôme and Place de la Concorde with a programme "Hors les Murs" (Outside the Walls) open to all.

Art Shopping

Painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, street art... Representing 800 artists and galleries from around the world, Art Shopping is accessible and eclectic. The philosophy here is to present authentic and original works at affordable prices making contemporary art obtainable to all. It’s not uncommon for visitors to meet artists exhibiting in the alleys of the Carrousel du Louvre where the event is held.
