In turn an episcopal, industrial and martyr town, Saint-Dié has managed to survive by proudly affirming a contemporary and innovative style of its own. This remarkable renaissance has made the Saint-Dié of today a town with a rich heritage and an intense cultural life. Then you have the Vosges, the area’s trump card, which is perfect for every type of nature activity imaginable, an immense and magnificent playground.

The cathedral of Saint-Dié

This cathedral stems from a Benedictine monastery established in the 7th century. At first glance it is impossible to see this, but the ensemble of vaults and eastern sections were destroyed in 1944 and have since been faithfully rebuilt.
