The Louvre welcomed two exceptional visitors last May—the American singer Beyoncé and her husband, the rapper Jay Z (not that they need any introduction). The result of their strolls in the museum hallways: a video clip featuring none other than the Mona Lisa, The Vénus de Milo and Napoleon. Discover the Louvre in a new light, illuminated by Queen B.

In all her days, the Mona Lisa never saw anything quite like this! The famous portrait, created by Leonard de Vinci, was watching from the front row during the lastest video clip of the super star couple, Beyoncé and Jay Z. The famous painting is indeed one of the main roles of the video for Apesh**t, the first song on their new album.

Shot in the corridors of the Louvre, the clip walks the audience through an overview of the greatest works exhibited in the museum. In addition to the opening and ending scenes featuring the famous smile of Mona Lisa, we can see the spouses and their dancers performing in the Daru stairs, at the feet of "La Victoire de Samothrace" or in front of Jacques Louis David's "The Coronation of Napoleon."

"The Venus de Milo" and "Le Grand Sphinx de Tanis" also belong in the list of extras of this video, among the intricately decorated ceilings of the museum's rooms, and some close up works. And of course, the glass pyramid of the Napoleon courtyard graces several scenes.

The association between the Louvre and the Carters do not stop there—the Mona Lisa is also part of the cover art of “Everything is Love."

The star couple, currently touring Europe, will stop at the Stade de France in Paris on July 14th and in Nice on July 17th.
