‘Vive la Reine’. In 2026, Nice will be putting the spotlight on fictional heroines and the great female figures of history during the 153ᵉ edition of its traditional Carnival. On the programme: corsi and flower battles, to bring you a monumental moment with costumes and grandiose decorations! Two weeks and three weekends of festivities to rediscover Nice and the Côte d'Azur in winter. From 11 February to 1 March 2026.
Every year, the Nice Carnival presents spectacular and creative parades, while offering an opportunity to discover or rediscover the charms of Nice and the Côte d'Azur in winter.
Mimosa, lilies, daisies: 100,000 flowers raining on the public
The carnival processions are accompanied by the colorful rhythms of more than a thousand dancers and musicians from all over the world and even from other galaxies! This grandiose show is accompanied by 5 battles of flowers and parades. If you are in the audience, expect to receive some 100,000 flowers, mimosa, lilies and daisies that will rain down on the audience.
First held on the famous Promenade des Anglais in 1876, these parades pay tribute to floral traditions and local producers. Since 2005, the decoration of the fifteen or so floats in this poetic parade has been in keeping with the theme of the carnival corsi.
Women will be in the spotlight at the 2026 Nice Carnival, whose theme will be ‘Long live the Queen’. The theme of the event is ‘Long live the Queen’, and it's a chance to shine the spotlight on the great female figures of history and fictional heroines.
