Board a catamaran and embark on a unique adventure on the crystal-clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. On this spectacular trip through French Polynesia, you'll be sailing across the turquoise-blue waters, exploring sandy beaches and Polynesian traditions. Each stopover offers the most romantic of settings, so you'll leave with everlasting memories.

Days 1 & 2: Tahiti

Tahiti, Polynésie française

fter the long journey to get there, treat yourselves to a well-deserved break and stay in Tahiti for two days to enjoy the turquoise-blue waters of the biggest island in Polynesia. Stay at the aptly named luxury hotel Le Tahiti, where you can recover from jet-lag in your own time. While there, you can go swimming and take your first romantic strolls on the white sand.

From blue flowers to fresh fruit, set off hand-in-hand along the Routes des Ananas (pineapple route), or make your way to the unmissable viewpoint and admire the panoramic views over Opunohu Bay, Rotui Hill and Cook Bay.

For your first day in Huahine Lagoon, go for a stroll around the pretty village of Fare and do a bit of shopping at the colourful shops there.

In the afternoon, go on a boat trip to the hidden ‘Hana Iti’ beach, a heavenly place that is perfectly isolated from the rest of the world. Laze on the white sand or go paddleboarding and just take in the azure blue sea all around you.

In the morning on the second day, head to the village of Fā’ie in search of the sacred eels that are two metres long and are well-known for their blue eyes. In Tahiti, if you catch a glimpse of these eels, it is believed to be a sign from the Gods. In the afternoon, sail to Avea Bay and just relax on the beautiful white sand beach or go swimming in the sea.

Day 7: Huahine - Raiatea (around 4 hours by boat, troll fishing)

Raiatea, Polynésie française

Take in the natural beauty of Raiatea on a canoeing outing on the river that winds through the stunning tropical forest there. Embrace the peaceful atmosphere of this natural environment and admire the sheer diversity of wildlife in this magical place. On this excursion, you’ll be going as far as Taputapuātea Marae, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this historic, spiritual place, you will be plunged into the ancestral traditions of the island’s inhabitants.

The next day, make the very most of this trip to Tahiti as a couple on a walk surrounded by a thousand colours at the incredible Faaroa botanical garden

End your day on a high note by enjoying an evening meal on the beach at the Opoa Beach Hotel restaurant. Make yourselves comfortable with your feet in the sand and enjoy the dishes infused with the flavours of Tahiti: mahi mahi in a pistachio crust, lagoon fish terrine, duck magret with vanilla, etc.

Days 10 & 12: Taha’a

A trip to Tahiti as a couple wouldn’t be complete without a couple of days on Taha’a. On this stunning island in the shape of a flower, follow the scent of vanilla to its source and visit the vanilla plantation.

For lunch, enjoy the catch of the day at the restaurant Titiraina. Choose your fresh fish straight from the ice. It will then be grilled, and served with coconut rice, fresh coconut milk and lime juice. Absolutely delicious!

In the afternoon, why not pay a visit to a pearl farm? This is the perfect place to find a great souvenir of your trip to Tahiti as a couple.

On the second day, treat yourselves to a boat trip in a pirogue dugout canoe to the heavenly island of Motu Tautau. Take the time to go swimming and exploring, and we absolutely recommend snorkelling in the coral garden to admire the colourful fish.

On the third day, go on a tour of a rum factory. Mana’o will unveil the secrets behind making rum with pure, organic sugar cane juice. In the evening, go for a meal in one of the many romantic restaurants.

Days 14 & 15: Bora Bora Lagoon

On the second day, you can expect an unforgettable experience together on an adventurous snorkelling trip to observe stingrays and sharks.

On the last day, go on a catamaran excursion to Motu Piti Aau island. This place is absolutely picture-perfect and you can swim in the crystal-clear waters one last time, in amongst the tropical fish.

At the Intercontinental, spend your last moments in Tahiti by enjoying an evening meal on the beach, with a view of Mount Otemanu.
