To celebrate autumn for the last 10 years, the Chateau of Chaumont-sur-Loire has opened the doors of its garden for a dedicated event called ‘The Splendours of Autumn’. Nature lovers shouldn’t miss out on this beautiful occasion at the heart of the Loire Valley.
The Chateau of Chaumont-sur-Loire is adorned with shimmering colours for two weeks of autumn events On the programme are walking tours, visits and a chance to chat to and get advice from the estate’s gardeners.
Walks
With or without a guide, at the bend of a stream, you’ll be swept up by the richness and beauty of rare plants.
During the weekend of All Saints, a range of activities are on offer to visitors. From flower arranging workshops to tastings of seasonal products from the estate’s vegetable garden, all the senses are treated.
Staging
Coloquintes and Cucurbitaceae vie with each other by their shapes and colours, scattered amongst the seasonal vegetables to create visual ‘paintings’ just for this occasion. A feast for the eyes!
Seasonal flowers
Appreciate the final flowers of the year, which flood the park with their warm colours. It’s a true celebration of the beauty of autumn.
At the bend of the promenade, the richness and depth of red, orange and gold propel us into a flamboyant world. Face the winter with a warm heart!
